Custom Ecommerce - 2008
Our first ecommerce website was a fully custom-built product, built from the ground up, from the dim light of our bedrooms.
While it took a lot more work to 'get live', it was a fantastic experience as it forced us to learn pretty much everything we needed to know (at the time) about running a successful website and put us on a great path.
Magento 1 - 2009
Magento has been our go-to platform for ecommerce websites for over a decade.
We love its flexibility and extensibility, and its ability to allow us to take future growth into account, which is always high on our client's list of importance when it comes to growing their businesses.
WordPress / WooCommerce - 2012
WordPress is probably the most used website platform in the world, powering more than 40% of websites today.
While admittedly it was a bit clunky when it started, we started using WooCommerce early as it was an 'easy' way to near-instantly "ecommercify" what was essentially "just another WordPress site".
Magento 2 - 2015
The long awaited "Magento 2" project finally left beta in late 2015 and started using it almost immediately.
We'll be honest, version 2.0 wasn't the easiest platform with which to work and caused us some late nights once in product. But it has continued to improve through the years and grown into one of the most popular and powerful (and free!) ecommerce platforms in the world.
Marketplace Apps - 2016
There was a time when we frequently received requests along the lines of "Hey, can you build us a website like Amazon?" (not unlike people wanting to 'make another Facebook - rolls eyes).
While most of these were unlikely to have any legs, we did get on board with a couple which had genuine opportunities and happily can say we continue to work on marketplaces even today.
Shopify / Squarespace - 2018
Both Shopify and Squarespace allow you to launch an ecommerce shop quickly, even with minimal technical know-how.
While great for simple products and logistics, if you have a fairly sophisticated product or operational setup, you’ll need expertise in the space and so we started offering basic builds and customisations to clients.
Android / iOS / React Applications - 2019
While we had previously done some work on a few native mobile applications and had already been building website mobile-first for some time, in 2019 we had a couple great opportunities and took those as an opportunity to really dive head-first into mobile development.
Vue Storefront and Headless Ecommerce - 2020
Headless ecommerce is relatively new way of separating out (mostly!) your customer’s user experience (website or application) from your business-logic-rich backend system. This means you can more quickly match your customers changing expectations without having to ‘blow up’ all of those internal systems upon which your business is built.
We launched our first headless solution in 2020 putting a Vue Storefront application "in front of" a Magento system, and we are excited to be launching more in the near future.
Event-Driven, Serverless Computing - 2021
By utilizing AWS Lambda, developers can break down complex projects into modular functions, each independently executed, promoting a more streamlined and scalable development process.
Without having to worry about managing infrastructure, using Lambda means our teams can focus solely on writing code and delivering innovative products and solutions.
Hyvä Theme for Magento 2 - 2022
Hyvä is a new front-end theme for Magento 2. It has been built with performance and user experience at its core.
It replaces the default Magento 2 Luna Theme, which is blotted with over 200 JS/CSS resources loading, slowing your site down. Hyvä’s theme only loads 2 JS/CSS resources so your site loads super fast!

With the launch of ChatGPT 3.5 in late 2022 and GPT-4 in 2023, businesses of all sizes now have unprecedented access to Large Language Models (LLMs).
